Skills Challenges and Golf Tournament Series are hosted at a variety of golf courses located in San Luis Obispo County. Loren Roberts CupThe 2008 Loren Roberts Cup will be held August 9th & 10th at Santa Maria Country Club, hosted by Coastal Valley Jr. Golf. The top 2 players in each division, except the under, will represent the SLO Jr. Golf Association at the Loren Roberts Cup Tournament. Points will be awarded during the 1st 6 Summer Series events to determine eligibility. View the tournament flyer for more information about eligibility rules. >> TOURNAMENT FLYER, ELIGIBILITY RULES (PDF) Summer Camps & Golf Skills ChallengesSLOCJGA Summer Camps include professional golf instruction and skills challenges in on course play, rules, etiquette, putting, pitching, chipping, full swing. A hat, daily drinks, snacks and range balls are included. Campers should bring their own golf clubs, a water bottle and sunscreen. Camp will provide clubs if needed. Returning campers are encouraged to attend camps at different golf courses.
Summer SeriesFor Boys and Girls ages 7-17 who seek to grow in the game, there is plenty of competitive opportunity in our Summer Series. Junior divisions include Boys 16-17, 14-15, 12-13, 11-Under - Girls 14-17, 13-Under. Boys 12-17 & Girls 14-17 play 18 holes. Boys & Girls "Under" divisions play 9 holes. Points are awarded to the top 5 scores at each event in all but the "Under" divisions. The top 2 point leaders in each division will represent the SLOJGA at the Loren's Roberts Cup. |
